8.1 Eligibility and approval
- Membership is open to applicants who meet the criteria in "Who Can Join".
- Trade West Africa reviews every application and may accept or decline it at its discretion.
- Applicants must give true and complete information and tell us if it changes.
8.2 Membership term and fees
- Membership runs for 12 months from the date payment is confirmed.
- Fees are paid yearly, in advance, in the currency shown on your invoice.
- Trade West Africa may change membership fees. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you at least 30 days before.
8.3 Benefits
- Benefits are those listed for your plan at the date you join or renew.
- Benefits must be used within your membership year. Unused benefits, such as consultations or included reports, do not carry over and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Member discounts apply to new orders placed during your membership and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so.
- Included research (the Market Snapshot or full report) is scoped with our team. Work beyond the agreed scope is charged at member rates.
- Trade West Africa may improve or update the benefits of a plan. If a benefit is removed during your membership year, we will offer a fair replacement.
8.4 The network
- Trade West Africa does not guarantee any sale, contract, partnership or business result from membership.
- Trade West Africa does not verify, endorse or guarantee other members, their products or their financial standing. Members are responsible for their own checks before doing business with anyone they meet through the network.
- Any agreement between members is between those members alone. Trade West Africa is not a party to it and is not responsible for its outcome.

- Members must act honestly, professionally and lawfully in all dealings with Trade West Africa and other members.
- Members must not use the network or member contact details for spam, unsolicited mass marketing, fraud, or any illegal activity.

- Members may display the member badge and certificate only while their membership is active.
- The badge and the Trade West Africa name must not be altered or used in a misleading way.
8.7 Confidentiality and data
- Trade West Africa keeps members' business information confidential and uses it only to run the membership and deliver services.
- Reports and research provided to members are for the member's own internal use and must not be resold or published without written permission.
- Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
8.8 Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel within 14 days of your membership starting and receive a full refund, as long as you have not used any benefits.
- After that period, membership fees are non-refundable. You may still use your benefits until your membership year ends.
8.9 Suspension and termination
- Trade West Africa may suspend or end a membership, without refund, if a member breaks these terms, gives false information, fails to pay, or acts in a way that harms the network, other members or Trade West Africa's reputation.
- Where possible, we will tell the member about the problem in writing and give them a chance to put it right first.
8.10 Liability
- Our reports, consultations and advice are provided with care, but business decisions remain the member's own. Trade West Africa does not give legal, tax or financial advice.
- Trade West Africa's liability to a member is limited to the membership fee paid for the current year.

- Trade West Africa may update these terms. We will tell members about any important changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
8.12 Disagreements
- Any disagreement will first be discussed in good faith between the member and Trade West Africa, with the aim of settling it fairly and quickly.
